URLs are automatically shortened in texts using Bitly. To view the shortened URL when creating your text message simply include your URL starting the URL with http:// or https:// followed by a space. It's this space that tells the text preview to analyze the link and create a short link. All URLs that begin with http:// or https:// are shortened when a text is sent.
