How does EchoTexting pricing work?
EchoTexting uses pay-as-you-go pricing with a $19/month carrier compliance fee. You purchase credit packages separately, and credits never expire. The compliance fee covers required carrier monitoring and registration.
What is a credit?
A credit is the currency used to send messages. One 160-character SMS message costs 1 credit. Messages up to 306 characters cost 2 credits. MMS messages (up to 1,600 characters) cost 3 credits each. Character limits vary by message type.
Can I purchase more credits?
Yes. You can purchase additional credit packages anytime and set up auto-reload to avoid running low. Higher credit packages offer volume discounts, helping you save money while ensuring you never run out.
What phone number will my text messages send from?
EchoTexting assigns you a dedicated 10-digit local phone number when you create your account. You never use your personal phone number—all messages send from your business number.
Are there additional carrier fees?
No additional carrier fees beyond the $19/month compliance fee. All carrier costs (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) are included in the credit package pricing, so there are no surprise charges.
Why is there a monthly recurring fee?
Since 2022, major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) require all business text numbers to be registered with The Campaign Registry. The $19/month fee covers this mandatory compliance monitoring.
Do I get charged if someone messages me?
No. All incoming messages are completely free, whether they're replies to your messages or new incoming messages. You only pay for messages you send.
What are the character limits for messages?
SMS: 160 characters (1 credit). Extended SMS: up to 306 characters (2 credits). MMS: up to 1,600 characters (3 credits). Character limits vary by message type.
Do you allow multiple users to share the same account?
Yes. Every account includes the ability to add agent users with custom permissions. Each agent can have their own login and specific access levels set during account creation.
