How to allow or disallow replies to texts
The
"Deliver text replies to admin" option determines how replies to the outgoing texts are handled. Some of the apps, such as
Polls and
Surveys, only consider appropriate voting options to be valid replies. All other replies are ignored. But
Message,
Coupons, and
Event Invites all optionally allow contacts to reply by text to the texts that they receive. If you choose to allow replies to texts you will receive the text to your registered admin phone number with a tag showing who replied to your text. The text appears as, "Firstname Lastname: this is the message". You can reply to this message and it will be directed back to that contact using your
preferred sent by name in the same format.
Alternatively, admins and agents can use the
Replies page to reply to incoming replies using the browser. To reply to a message using the Replies page simply click the icon next to each incoming response to open the reply box. Type your reply and click the send button. The text will now be fired off to the recipient.
