How to Edit an Autoresponder

Learn how to update and modify existing autoresponders, including changing messages, media, and display names.

Editing autoresponders allows you to update messages, change media, or modify display names. Changes take effect immediately, so you can keep your autoresponders current and relevant.

Accessing the Edit Form

  1. Navigate to your campaign's Autoresponders page
  2. Find the autoresponder you want to edit in the list
  3. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)

The edit form will open with all current autoresponder information pre-filled.

What You Can Edit

Display Name

  • Change the name to better reflect the autoresponder's purpose
  • Update naming conventions
  • Improve organization

Message Content

  • Update the message text
  • Fix typos or errors
  • Improve clarity or tone
  • Add or remove information

Media Attachments

  • Add new media files

Editing Steps

Step 1: Make Your Changes

  • Update the display name if needed
  • Modify the message content
  • Add, remove, or change media attachments
  • Use the preview panel to see how changes look

Step 2: Review Your Changes

  • Check the preview to ensure everything looks correct
  • Verify character count is within limits
  • Ensure media displays properly
  • Review overall message quality

Step 3: Save Your Changes

  • Click Update to save your changes
  • You'll see a success message confirming the update
  • Changes take effect immediately

Important: Changes to autoresponders take effect immediately. Any new replies will use the updated message.
