Step 1: Brand Registration

The first step in your EchoTexting journey is registering your business brand. This creates your brand profile in our system and sets up your business for SMS compliance.

What is Brand Registration?

Brand registration is the process of providing your business information to EchoTexting. This information is used to:

  • Register your business with The Campaign Registry (TCR) for SMS compliance
  • Set up your SMS provider account (PUC partner)
  • Create your brand profile in the EchoTexting system

What Information Do You Need?

Before starting, gather the following information:

Required Information

  • Legal Company Name: The official registered name of your business
  • DBA or Brand Name: Your "Doing Business As" name or marketing brand name
  • Company Phone: Your business support phone number
  • Industry: Your business vertical or industry type
  • Country of Registration: Where your business is legally registered
  • Legal Organization Type: Corporation, LLC, Non-profit, etc.
  • Tax ID/EIN: Your business tax identification number
  • Business Address: Complete street address, city, state, and postal code
  • Company Website: Your business website URL

Additional Information (for Public Companies)

If your business is publicly traded, you'll also need:

  • Stock Exchange: Which exchange your stock trades on
  • Stock Symbol: Your company's stock ticker symbol

Filling Out the Form

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Brand Creation

    • After signing in, you'll be prompted to create your first brand
    • Or go to the "Create Brand" page from your dashboard
  2. Enter Basic Information

    • Start with your legal company name and brand name
    • Enter your business phone number
    • Select your industry from the dropdown
  3. Provide Registration Details

    • Select your country of registration
    • Choose your legal organization type
    • If you're a public company, select your stock exchange and enter your stock symbol
  4. Enter Tax and Address Information

    • Enter your Tax ID/EIN (format: XX-XXXXXXX)
    • Provide your complete business address
    • Enter your company website URL
  5. Review and Submit

    • Double-check all information for accuracy
    • Click "Submit" to create your brand

What Happens After Submission?

Immediate Results

  • ✅ Your brand is saved to your account
  • ✅ You'll see a success message
  • ✅ You'll be redirected to campaign creation

Behind the Scenes (Automatic)

While you're creating your campaign, our system automatically:

  1. Sends Notification - Notifies our team that a new brand has been registered
  2. Assigns to Admins - Makes your brand visible to our support team
  3. Registers with TCR - Submits your brand to The Campaign Registry for compliance verification
  4. Sets Up PUC partner - Creates your brand account with our SMS provider

Important: These background processes don't block your progress. You can continue to campaign creation immediately!

Common Questions

How long does brand registration take?

The form submission takes less than a minute. Background registration with TCR and PUC partner typically completes within a few hours, but you can proceed to campaign creation right away.

What if I make a mistake?

You can edit your brand information later from your dashboard or contact support for assistance.

What if my brand registration fails?

If there are any issues with background registration, our support team will be notified and can help resolve them. You'll still be able to create campaigns while we fix any issues.

Do I need to wait for brand registration to complete?

No! You can proceed to campaign creation immediately after submitting the brand form. The background processes run automatically.
